Piaget pays tribute to Andy Warhol with limited edition watch
Piaget has unveiled a very cool tribute to Andy Warhol: the Piaget Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition.

The exclusive timepiece, limited to only 50 pieces across the globe, marks a pinnacle in Piaget’s collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

The king of pop art
Andy Warhol – aka the king of pop art – had a knack for turning the everyday… think soup cans, celebrities and even Coca Cola bottles, into instant icons.

Think Campbell’s Soup Cans or those bright, repeated portraits of Marilyn Monroe. He loved playing with repetition, bright colours, and bold, in-your-face designs.

He was obsessed with fame and consumer culture, famously saying, “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes.” And he wasn’t just a painter. He made films, took photos, published magazines, and ran The Factory, his legendary New York studio where art and celebrity collided.

And of course, he was a prolific watch collector.
The ‘Collage’ edition

This edition draws inspiration from a self-portrait Warhol created with a Polaroid in 1986. Its dial features a meticulous marquetry of jazzy ornamental gemstones – black onyx, yellow Namibian serpentine, pink opal, and green chrysoprase – arranged into an abstract form.

With an 18-carat yellow gold stepped 45mm case, the watch’s caseback is engraved with Warhol’s self-portrait, signature and the Piaget logo, underscoring its collectible nature.

The smooth, lugless case and subtly recessed crown give this watch a beautifully streamlined look. It’s impressively slim too – at just 8mm thick – which makes it feel elegant rather than bulky.

This isn’t a watch you’d take swimming though as it’s only waterproof to 30 meters.
It sits on a dark green leather strap and is powered by Piaget’s 501P1 automatic calibre. That offers an incredible 40-hour power boost.
Honoring Warhol’s legacy
Warhol owned over 300 timepieces by the time of his death in 1987.

Among them was a Piaget cushion-shaped watch from 1973, which inspired the design of this limited edition. This collaboration not only celebrates Warhol’s artistic genius but also his appreciation for Piaget’s craftsmanship.
Availability and customisation
Priced at around £9,000, the Piaget Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition is currently only available through Piaget’s official website.
Those lucky enough to get their hands on one can make their timepiece bespoke by choosing from a selection of dial materials and strap colours, allowing for a unique expression of style and homage to Warhol’s legacy.

This launch is more than just another collaboration. It’s Piaget and The Andy Warhol Foundation at their best, giving collectors a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to own something that fuses fine watchmaking with a pop art twist.
