Time to spruce things up: Luxe Watches sponsors Christmas contest

Come on, now. Hands up. Who’s already been rooting about in their loft wondering if it’s too early for the Christmas tree and decorations to go up?

Here at Luxe Watches, we’re more than ready. That’s why we’re getting in the festive spirit by sponsoring a competition in the wonderful Parish of Epping, where our new boutique is based.

Epping Town Council is holding a best residential Christmas lights display competition, which is open to all the homes in the area including Coopersale and Fiddlers Hamlet.

Spreading Christmas cheer

The initiative aims to help to spread festive community spirit across the Parish and is a great opportunity for residents to show off their festive lights and decorative displays, some of which raise cash for charity.   

Luxe watches has offered to sponsor the event, by providing a £200 first prize and £100 second prize.

Oscar Strong, our sales manager said: “We are thrilled to be involved in such a fun community initiative. It’s so good to see festive things happening following last December’s Covid restrictions.

“Of course, we moved into the town with our new boutique on High Street this year and so it’s nice for us to be able to give something back to the community who have been so welcoming to us. We cannot wait to see all the entries.”

Got the most dazzling decorations?

All people need to do to enter the contest is show off their best rocking reindeers, fancy fairy lights, lit up lanterns and shimmering sleighs for their chance to win some money, which will come in handy for the winner at this time of year!

If you are local to Epping and think your dazzling decorations could be the best in town, you can download an entry form from eppingtowncouncil.gov.uk, drop a line to: info@eppingtowncouncil.gov.uk or call into the town council offices at Epping Hall.

Entries must include two snaps of your display and these must be returned by 4pm on Friday, December 10. Then it’s down to the judges to shortlist the best offerings and visit those homes from Monday, December 13, subject to the weather.

The winner and second place entries will be announced on Friday, December 17.
