Watches and Wonders 2025: Discover the latest Rolex models
Watches and Wonders Geneva drew an unprecedented crowd this year, attracting more than 55,000 visitors over the course of the week.
From the bustling public days to the lively ‘In The City’ program, the event captivated audiences and reinforced its not-to-be-missed status in the horological calendar.
With a dazzling array of premieres and immersive experiences, the week pulsed with creativity, underscoring the continued dynamism of Swiss watchmaking.
But as usual, the most exciting thing about the event was the unleashing of the new models from Rolex.
From the intricate movement to the case, bracelet, and meticulously selected materials, Rolex’s latest creations embody innovation, uncompromising standards, and redefine possibility.
These include the highly anticipated Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller, and a few variations on existing favourites including the GMT-Master II, Datejust and Perpetual 1908.
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller
Undoubtedly, the Land-Dweller stands out as the year’s most significant highlight—and rightfully so. Boasting a completely reimagined design, it features a new case, bracelet, bezel, dial, movement, and the innovative Dynapulse escapement.
Altogether, the watch introduces an impressive 32 new patents: 18 relating to the watch itself and 16 dedicated to its movement.
With refined aesthetics and incredible technical innovation, this groundbreaking model will be an absolute must-have for Rolex fans.
Its calibre 7135 movement allows time measurement to one-tenth of a second and boasts a 66-hour power reserve.
It’s also pretty nice to look at, with an integrated flat Jubilee bracelet – a modern take on the classic, featuring polished centre links and satin-finished outer links, seamlessly integrated into the case for a cohesive look.
And the dial is super cool – a honeycomb motif design which comes in intense white and ice blue. With open numerals at 6 and 9 o’clock, inspired by the Explorer and Air-King models, it’s definitely a nice model.
Offered in both 36mm and 40mm sizes, the Land-Dweller is available in white Rolesor (a combination of Oystersteel and white gold), 18 ct Everose gold, and 950 platinum.
And finally, as a first for Rolex, it offers a transparent case back with a great view of the calibre.
Rolex GMT Master II
We knew it was coming… and it did. And the latest offering is just gorgeous. Exuding timeless elegance, the new Oyster Perpetual in 18 ct white gold showcases a flawless continuity between its face and bezel – unified in material, hue, and radiant lustre.
This one offers an intense green Cerachrom dial – Rolex’s first ceramic – which mirrors the daytime segment and ceramic of the two-tone bezel insert, creating the ultimate in visual harmony.
A pioneer in high-technology ceramics, the brand has developed exclusive and innovative manufacturing methods. Not only are these materials virtually scratchproof, but their colours are also of a rare intensity.
But what Rolex fans will love is the ability to allow the time in two different time zones to be read simultaneously.
Oyster Perpetual
For something quite unexpected, Rolex is all about the dials for this new offering. A muted lavender, a warm sandy beige and a fresh pistachio green are quite the spectrum of colour choices.
The Oyster Perpetual debuts the fresh dials blending the soft pastels, vivid lacquer, and a sleek matte finish.
The lavender dial makes its debut on the Oyster Perpetual 28, while the beige dial appears on the Oyster Perpetual 36. The pistachio dial is introduced with the Oyster Perpetual 41, a model that features subtly refined proportions, including a redesigned case and a slimmer Oysterclasp.
The refined new dial colors across the collection, along with the flowing lines of the updated Oyster Perpetual 41, reaffirm the essence of the Oyster: a watch that is simple, reliable, and robust—crafted to suit any wrist.
Perpetual 1908 ~ Settimo bracelet
The Perpetual 1908 represents Rolex’s refined approach to the classic gentleman’s dress watch.
Last year, the rice-grain guilloché dial of reference 52506 brought fresh attention to the collection, shifting perceptions entirely. This year, the spotlight moves to a newly introduced bracelet which is an elegant creation crafted entirely from yellow gold.
Straight away, you can pick out the seven-piece link design (rather than the five-piece links in the Jubilee) which is a first for Rolex. The Settimo bracelet is exclusively crafted for the Perpetual 1908 collection, further enhancing the appeal of this timepiece to serious collectors.
