Which celebrities wear Cartier watches?
Cartier has produced watches with incredible history, and an endless list of famous fans. Once referred to as “the jeweller of kings and king of jewellers,” by King Edward VII, ths legacy makes Cartier one of those most in-demand brands today.
Let’s have a look at who’s wearing what in the celebrity world.
Cartier Tank Must
Cartier unveiled a host of tempting new timepieces at Watches and Wonders 2021, including a new Cartier Tank Must which was a hit in the seventies and helped secure the brand in the top luxury makers. The reissue is a large model with steel case, beaded crown set, sword-shaped hands and black calfskin strap.
One fan of the style is 22-year-old Conrad Khan. Those who have eagerly awaited the final series of Peaky Blinders with its three-piece suits, slick hairdos and people getting topped off by hideous methods, will see his character take over centre stage from Tommy Shelby.
We couldn’t help but notice he wore a Cartier Tank Must to the show’s premiere. Looking classically smart in a slim black suit, his watch perfectly suited the occasion – a silver Cartier Tank and a black leather strap. And he’s in good company with his love for the watch which first debuted in Robert Pattinson, who wore his version at The Batman press tour.
Cartier Tank Française
Peacocking sixties icon of one of the world’s greatest rock bands Mick Jagger, often wears a Cartier Tank Française. The watch, which was released in 1996, exudes style and while it’s shorter than its English counterpart it’s no less grand. It still boasts a stunning Roman numeral dial and blue steel sword-shaped hands.
Even Jagger’s band mate Keith Richards is a fan of the brand, tending to opt for the elegant but gender-neutral watch, the Panthère de Cartier. The collection disappeared 20 years ago but emerged in 2017 as a ladies’ collection with the biggest offering at 27mm.
Cartier Tank Americaine
Bond villain and Freddie Mercury lookalike, Rami Malek boasts a fair few Cartiers in his collection. But he had a Cartier Tank Americaine XL on when he was handed the Best Actor oscar for his role as Queen’s front man in the epic Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
This watch is inspired by the Tank Cintrée – one of the collection’s earliest offerings with an unusual case. The curve contours to the wrist, making it a great choice for under a shirt sleeve.
Cartier Ballon Bleu
The Duchess of Cambridge is a style icon within the Royal Family. And like her late mother-in-law, she also chooses a Cartier. While a Tank has been the choice of many family members, Kate Middleton often wears an updated version – the Cartier Ballon Bleu. Elegant and sophisticated, it’s the perfect style choice for the future queen.
Cartier Santos
Hollywood’s Jake Gyllenhall became the face of the new Santos model created in 2018. The updated case design and a slimmer profile, along with significantly advanced features, makes this watch incredibly sought-after. Square lines have been softened to offer rounder edges and a sloping bezel.
