Buying week: More about our consignment process
So you’ve decided you’d like to sell your luxury watch.
Well, you’ve come to the right place.
We enjoy receiving enquiries about lots of luxury watch brands but we mainly buy Rolex, Omega, Patek Philippe, Cartier, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille timepieces.
We do ask that you provide the original box and paperwork, if you have it as this will help us to sell your watch more quickly.
Here’s a little bit more information about our buying process if you’re ready to take the leap.
What is consignment?
This is Luxe Watches’ first stage of the buying process. Basically, we will sell your luxury watch on your behalf to take any of the hassle out of a private sale for you.
The stages involve stocking your watch in our Epping boutique, listing it online and handling all enquiries we receive, so that you don’t have to.
Basically, you would consider consignment as us assisting you with selling your watch.
Why would you consign your watch?
We all know how hard it can be to sell something online. It could take weeks or months. Plus there’s all the hassle of those annoying people who don’t turn up when you’ve waited all afternoon for them to collect it.
We take all those irritations away.
We handle all the enquiries regarding your watch, answer any questions and pitch your watch to our 78,000 followers on Instagram and actively via our website.
You can expect to see professional photos of your watch to give it the best possible chance of being sold. Our buying team will work round the clock to get you the fairest price for your watch based on the current market value.
The watch will also be insured whilst it’s with us so you can rest assured it’s in safe hands.
How much will I get for my watch?
It’s a hard question to answer but it depends on numerous factors.
For a quick estimate, you can use our new Rolex valuation tool to see what you could expect to be paid for your watch. This is subject to our valuation expert taking a physical look at your watch to inspect it for its condition and genuity.
While it is difficult to say how much you could receive for your watch without physically seeing it, we will have an honest conversation with you about how much you hope to achieve for it and we will do our best to get the best price for your watch.
How long will it take to sell my watch?
Again, this is quite a difficult question to answer as it depends on many factors… Whether the watch is limited edition, in demand, in good condition or comes with its original paperwork and box are some of the considerations.
We ask everyone who wants to sign up to our consignment process, for a minimum of a month to sell your watch.
We have a wide range of customers approaching us all the time asking for different items, so it may be the case that your watch could sell in less than a month.
How do I start the consignment process?
Selling your watch to Luxe Watches is easy. Your first action is to get in contact with Jed Brailey, our Purchasing and After-Sales Manager, via Instagram or phone 020 3820 7519.
Jed will take some details from you and be back in touch with you as soon as possible.
